Veeam 100 Summit 2025
Setting the scene
Think of the Veeam 100 Summit as the ultimate meetup for Veeam Vanguards, Veeam Legends, Veeam MVPs, and select Veeam User Group leaders, all tuning in to hear directly from Veeam’s execs and product pros. It is a backstage pass to the latest updates on what is coming from Veeam, plus a rare chance to share feedback straight to the product management team.
The tech overview
Veeam Data Cloud takes centre stage
This year’s summit put a big spotlight on Veeam Data Cloud, and it clearly signals where Veeam is pouring its energy. Sure, Veeam Backup & Replication (VBR) v13 is out, and the switch to a virtual appliance is a strong move, but these updates feel like pieces of a bigger vision. Veeam wants to protect all the things and make it easier to manage all of that for you. A lot of details are still under wraps, but the story across the portfolio feels cohesive, with Veeam Data Cloud sitting right in the middle.
What this means for partners
If you are a partner already selling these services, things get interesting. Unless you are ready to hop on the VDC train and sell the Veeam way, you will want to make sure you have a unique selling point to differentiate yourself from VDC. For partners without an existing offer, VDC looks like an easy button to get into the managed data protection game. Sell a SKU, give customers streamlined data protection, and get moving fast.
Where specialists shine
Some of the Veeam tech is makes more sense for solution and service providers to embrace; Veeam Universal CDP is a prime example. Veeam is not focused on delivering DRaaS via VDC today, which leaves room for specialists to step in and craft bespoke recovery services that fit each business.
The good times
It is not all about the tech, though; you cannot overlook the power of networking with a bunch of like-minded folks. Great ideas get sparked, relationships take shape, feedback lands where it matters, and everyone starts swimming in the same direction with fresh clarity on how the Veeam solution stack fits together.
Celebrate the wins
Outside of the sessions, celebrating the wins and good times with friends is a huge part of what makes this event special. I am grateful for the chance to attend in 2025, and it is one I will remember for a long time.
